Baptistology is all about helping you find the information you need.
But sometimes a list of search results just doesn't help much. You still have to comb through the results to find what you need, and often it's not in an easily-digestible format.
For this reason, we are introducing the Baptistology Guides project. Next month (August 2009) we will be deploying several "Guides" here at Baptistology.com. These Guides will be clear, concise, and comprehensive pages on diverse subjects that are important to Baptists. Best of all, they will put the information you need right in front of you in an easy-to-read format. All the colation and research on the topic will be done and organized for you!
These guides will be integrated into many of our other web sites, including the high-traffic BaptistTop1000.com, BaptistAdvance.com, BillySunday.org (and of course Baptistology.com) and promoted to our e-mail lists with the goal of making them the definitive source of Baptist information on the Internet.
Topics for the initial set of guides will be:
- Baptist Periodicals
- colleges, seminaries, and Bible institutes
- music
- evangelists
- Baptist-friendly homeschooling curriculum
- Baptist forums
- Internet: web hosting / Internet services
- Internet: web site development
- online Baptist preaching (audio and video)
- Baptist blogs
- Accessories (clothing, promotional products, etc.)
- frugal living
- Baptist streaming audio/video and on-line radio
- Baptist missions and mission agencies
- ladies' resources
- sermon outlines
- teens / youth
- Baptist Denominations
- Literature & Publishing: book distributors and retailers
- Literature & Publishing: tracts
- Literature & Publishing: authors
- camps and retreats
- marriage and family resources
There are a lot of Baptist resources out there. They just need to be organized in an intelligent manner to make them easier to find and use.
To move this project forward, we are seeking sponsors for each guide. Any Baptist individual or organization can sponsor the development of one of the guides listed above (or on another topic that we may have missed). The sponsor will receive acknowledgement (and link) on the specific guide web page itself. Guides with sponsors move to the top of our work list and will be deployed within seven days of sponsorship, begining August 1, 2009.
You may sponsor the development of a Baptistology Guide for $249. You will receive permanent credit (name and link in footer or side bar of the page, depending upon the final graphic design we settle on) on the page for your support in developing the Guide, plus you will have the option of being the "Guide Sponsor" (a banner at the top of the page) for the first year at no charge. As the founding sponsor, you will also have the right of first-refusal when it comes to sponsorship for the following year.
There will be only one sponsor per Guide.
If you are interested in sponsoring the development of a Guide covering one of the topics above or one of your own suggestion, please contact us. Topics will be sponsored on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thank you,
Ron.
